About my C10 Pickup
My 1985 Chevy long box is a story of pure determination. It began with replacing the motor with a 350 crate motor, then lowering the suspension 2 inches. The truck now ran great and handled even better. Now was time to tackle the body. I thought I would replace the box, fix the rockers and paint. One thing led to another and I ended up with a body off restoration, with all body parts replaced, with the exception of the front panel of the box.
In December, 2008, with the truck in pieces, I had a stroke, was told to give up the truck and my dream of completing it.
Giving up was not an option for me. After a month in the hospital and another 3 months of rehab, I was back in my garage, and as you can see, my dream truck is complete.
My Super Chevy magazines gave me the inspiration to complete my truck.
Thank you

Nice job Tom ... Especially considering your circumstances. Reason I found your story is that I just bought a 1985 C10 and am also looking to restore. Would you be interested in sharing information? We could swap emails? Thanks for the pics, I need the inspiration.
Ton.
