I bought it fresh from a guy who had recently imported a few Camaros from the states. Advertised as a big block car. It had a big block in it but was sitting in the engine bay on a couple of blocks of wood. Very ordinary condition it was a black RS, straight body, paint was pretty bad and it looked like the car had been sitting for a lot of years. All in all it was a fair price though ( in Australia ) of $10,500. Originally my idea was to tidy it up and spend about $20,000 and just cruise. One thing led to another and after $60,000 Im still going.   There isnt anything I havent replaced. Bare metal respray in Candy Apple Red, right hand drive conversion, HQ Holden front springs and disc brakes,355 motor built mild but strong to take 150hp shot of nitrous,full manual Turbo350, 1350 Spicer tailshaft, Ford 9" diff with HQ drum brakes,Calvert Racing split monoleaf springs. Goes in 2 weeks time to get the interior done and then finally after five years it gets registered and driven. A lot.
